location on Elephant Lake.
On the north shore of Elephant Lake, facing south, you look out on 2,000' of Sandy Beach. Behind you are 40 acres of tall pine in the "Hillo Hills" which gives you hiking and exploring through the grandeur of the Canadian wilderness in all its natural beauty. Non-polluted Elephant Lake is centrally located on 40 miles of waterways from Baptiste Lake to Algonquin Park's York River. From these waters come your trophy muskies, large and smallmouth bass, walleye and pan fish. Canoeing in to Algonquin Park from our lake is a real nature trip. High Falls can also be visited, where you and your family can enjoy the rapids. The meaning of wilderness comes true at Sandy Acres. The call of the loon echoing from a rocky shore, or walking in the shade of a tall pine and in beautiful maple forest dappled by sunlight. |

Our cottages are all equipped with full plumbing, fireplaces, kitchens, screened porches, patios.
They are steps away from the shore. All of our campsites are located on the lakefront with
plenty of privacy.
Our swimming beach is safe, sandy and shallow for swimmers of all ages. We also provide boat and motor rentals both weekly and daily. Visit our snack shack where treats for all can be purchased. Come and visit us early this spring or for your first camping trip of the year. We will welcome you and help arrange for your summer-fall vacation with us at Sandy Acres. Large groups also welcome! No large dogs please. |
