Historic Inn
Description:
Salem is one of America's oldest cities with an enduring maritime past. The Salem Inn, which comprises The West House (c 1834), The Curwen House (c 1854) and The Peabody House (c 1874) testifies to the glory that was 19th century Salem. These impressive & historic buildings, built with the wealth of those seafaring days, are centrally located a short walk from an array of activities.

The Inn's 40 individually decorated rooms and suites provide private bath, color TV & telephone; some feature kitchenettes, fireplaces or whirlpool baths. Antique & reproduction furniture graces all buildings. Outstanding personal service and attention to detail are Inn hallmarks.

The West House, a brick Federal structure, features a breakfast room & garden courtyard where guests of all buildings enjoy continental breakfast. The Curwen House, a wood-frame, Italian Revival Building has been lovingly restored while maintaining its original architectural detail & historical integrity.
