Description:
The Inn has a lot to offer!
  • Seven rooms each with private bathrooms (6 with extra-large Jacuzzi tubs, all have showers), queen and king beds, large TVs
  • Lounging area downstairs with day bed and relaxing chairs

  • Park area has and stream and ponds, koi, goldfish, flowers, tress, nature, botanical garden (used for pictures, relaxing, weddings, receptions,...)
  • The entire Inn can be rented out with a group rate (weddings, family getaways, church gatherings, card groups, retreats ...)
  • Metal roofs have a nice sound in the upstairs and front porches when it rains
  • Solid wood furniture in each room
  • Breakfast served fresh and hot every morning

History:

  • Wood Floors upstairs are from the Havana School auditorium (school is no longer there)
  • Front porch brick and brick in the park is from Havana School’s original walls (school is no longer there)
  • Walls are made from solid lime rock and cement layered with coquina shells, the steel in the walls are from the original railroad tracks that went from St. Marks to Tallahassee
  • Building was once used to unload bottles of whiskey back in the prohibition days
  • Building was once: a Church, a Brothel, Storm Shelter, and City Hall briefly
  • In the older days, the building was marked as the strongest building in St. Marks (used for shelter during large storms)
  • Building burnt down in early 80s (left only four concrete exterior walls)
  • Building was rehabbed by Ken Campbell to a bed and breakfast starting in late 1994, was finished and doors opened for business in 1996.
