Canada / Ontario / Central Ontario / Haliburton / Lake Kashagawigamog
Only two hours from Toronto, this Haliburton, Ontario resort has many on-site amenities and activities to compliment our housekeeping cottages with wood burning fireplaces. Willow Beach Resort is one of the perfect pet-friendly resorts for family vacations, romantic couples getaways or girls weekend and guys weekend location. Our rental cottages are upscale and have a spectacular waterfront view. The grounds boast both spa service and recreation hall. The recent relocation of the neighbouring Wind in the Willows Day Spa has resulted in the availability of more spa services including the ability to accommodate a couple's massage in the same room at the same time -- what could be more intimate? There's plenty of outdoor activities like our sand beach, children's play area, beach volleyball, horseshoes, boating, canoeing, kayaking and excellent fishing excursions on a five lake chain. In winter there are cross country ski trails right across the road, an ice rink on the lake (conditions permitting) and access to the Redstone River Luge or dogsledding for the more adventurous. We are a great base location to tour Algonquin Park or the Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Preserve and there are many historic and scenic attractions right in Haliburton County such as the Minden Wild Water Reserve (white water kayaking), Hawk River Log Chute, Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre & Walk In The Clouds forest canopy tour, five golf courses nearby, Sir Sanford Fleming School of the Arts and a plethora of artist studios. Check out all the geocaching opportunities. We're pet friendly from September to June each year (sorry not in July or August). We have one accessible unit complete with roll-in shower, ramp and wide doorways with lots of turning space for wheelchairs in all rooms.
There are an abundance of trails in the region, with large tracts of Crown Land accessible for hiking, snowmobiling, atving and mountain biking. The Trails and Tours initiative culminates in a Hiking Festival each fall. Willow Beach Cottage resort is open year round and the off season is a great time for romantic couples to escape for a weekend . Curl up in front of the fireplace or enjoy a Jacuzzi, hot tub, or sauna. Off season meal packages can be added to your stay and we have spa services available on a reservation basis.
Our cottage resort also makes an ideal location for family reunions, and group gatherings. During the summer our children's program means fun for the kids and a chance for mom and dad to relax.
