Welcome to “The Tail End of Nowhere”…and that’s just the way Harbour-side guests like it. Advocate Harbour is a marvel of natural beauty and is indeed a haven for the naturalist, writer or contemplative. Wild lupines, roses, irises and asters have their own seasons of glory. At low tide, you can walk on the ocean floor. At high tide, the lobster and scallop boats come home with their catch. The dykelands, originally created by the Acadians to wrest the salt marshes from the sea, still do their job and create a lovely walk with views of the sea on one side and vistas of content cattle grazing on lush grass on the other. Anyone familiar with Bliss Carman will see his poetry in this little fishing village.
Harbour-side Cottage is a bit of old-time Nova Scotia. It features three bedrooms (sleeps 5-6), a large country kitchen, dining room and living room with panoramic views of the harbour and the tidal river. The house is delightfully furnished and replete with the comforts of home. Come, relax and enjoy a bounty of fresh lobster, scallops and tranquility in this picturesque village on the Bay of Fundy.
