Hiking is the main year-round activity with trail riding, cycling, canoeing, mountaineering, glacier walks and guided mine tours available in summer and snow-shoeing or ice-climbing in winter.

For nature oriented guests who prefer to stay away from the busy tourist centres, Aurum Lodge is the ideal base to explore the Rocky Mountains between Lake Louise and the Columbia Icefields, as well as adjacent Bighorn Country with its many natural attractions and stunning scenery.
